DescriptionLess than 2 miles (3km) from Longleat House and Safari Park The Coach House provides spacious and comfortable self catering on Sturford Mead Farm in a beautiful rural setting at the foot of Cley Hill.
A working farm until 1998 there are no livestock but guests may enjoy witnessing an occasional visit from deer, pheasants, woodpeckers. There are superb walks and cycle rides and Cley Hill with its Iron Age fortifications is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the western end of Cranborne Chase. The Chase is a chalk area of land extending from the county of Dorset through to Wiltshire.
Self Catering at The Coach House
The fully equipped Coach House in the grounds of Sturford Farm has been tastefully converted to a high standard, using quality fabrics and furnishings throughout, offering warm, homely and inviting accommodation.
There is a large and comfortable lounge, french doors leading to a paved area with furniture and barbecue facilities and adjacent laundry room all set in a large attractive garden.
Upstairs are three delightful bedrooms, one large double, one twin and one single (two with their own washbasins) and a modern bathroom with shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a spacious dining area. There is also a Games Room with pool tale, table tennis, air hockey, table football and darts
Bed and Breakfast at Sturford Farm
Sturford Mead Farm also offers quality B&B. Ther are three rooms available, two ensuite twins the third a double with private bathroom opposite. One of the rooms is large enough to accommodate a further single bed.
The breakfast room has a sunny aspect where traditional freshly-cooked breakfast is served This includes locally produced Wiltshire bacon, preserves and homemade bread.
A continental alternative is available and special dietary requirements catered for.
The lounge has been recently refurbished and is the ideal place to relax after a busy day or to spend the evening whilst the children soundly sleep.
As well as being very close to Longleat there are many other places to visit including Centre Parcs on the Longleat Estate, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Caves, Stonehenge and many other attractions all within easy reach.
