Description

Paxcroft Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a family friendly house, on the outskirts of Trowbridge with lovely gardens and far reaching views overlooking the Wiltshire Downs.

• Established bed & breakfast for over twenty years.
• Excellent full English breakfast, many repeat bookings.
• Our aim is to be friendly, courteous and helpful.

We have three rooms; two are en-suite and 1 twin with private facilities. Nicely furnished and decorated throughout. The gardens are there for you to sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Or we have a visitors lounge if the weather is not too good.

Take a picnic and spend a leisurely day or just laze or walk in our beautiful countryside only minutes from our door.

Trowbridge is the County town of Wiltshire and makes an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding historic and beautiful countryside. The town lies at the very heart of the old Wiltshire weaving industry with Bradford on Avon, Melksham and Westbury but a few miles away. The important medieval historic towns of Devizes, Marlborough and Chippenham are close too as are the ancient stone rings of Avebury and Stonehenge and the famous Wiltshire White Horses of Westbury and Pewsey Vale. They are all within easy reach. The beautiful Roman Spa City of Bath with its fine buildings and shopping lies just over the county border in Somerset and the peaceful Kennet and Avon Canal passes on the northern side of the town offering walking and cycling along its banks. A little further to the south is Salisbury with its beautiful cathedral and spectacular spire, the highest in the UK. Beyond are the glorious sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole and the renowned Jurassic Coast and Lulworth Cove.
