4 Church Walk
DescriptionNB was established in 1996 in the thriving county town of Trowbridge. Situated on Church Walk, a busy row of specialist shops, NB Gallery is a grade II listed brick building facing the beautiful 14th century St James Church.
NB has an open-plan layout and combines a retail space at the front with a workshop area at the rear so customers can, at all times, see work in progress. We specialise in good quality, unusual handmade work made in Britain and inspired by the natural world or incorporating natural materials. There is an emphasis on textiles but we welcome other disciplines and we regularly show glass, ceramics, jewellery and contemporary art.
NB Gallery was established by knitwear designer Janet Jackson and is now run by her daughter, tapestry artist Kimberley Jackson. Kimberley works on site, weaving tapestries for sale, commission and exhibition and manages NB. Kimberley’s sister, Jacqui Jackson, regularly assists in the gallery. Jacqui is a maker working in a variety of disciplines including jewellery, handmade paper and natural dyes on textiles. Both Kimberley and Jacqui’s work is on permanent exhibition at NB.
