In the midst of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, The Compasses Inn is an idyllic fourteenth century thatched pub, full of old world charm. Our traditional inn is unspoilt and offers the very best in real ale, fine wines and freshly prepared food. It has an excellent local reputation.

The inn has its own gardens with wonderful views and children’s play area.

Opening Hours
The main bar has eleven tables with an adjacent small dining room of three tables which can seat up to sixteen people for small private parties. Food is served from 12.00pm to 2.00pm and from 6.30pm to 9.00pm all week. Sunday lunch is served from 12.00pm to 2.30pm.
All our dishes are freshly made by our two chefs, Ian Chalmers and Ian Evans.
The menu is written on black-boards as it frequently changes, affording us the opportunity to focus on seasonal food and local availability.

Accommodation
All rooms are charged at £75.00 per room per night including full English breakfast.
The recently refurbished rooms are accessed separately from the pub, and are all centrally heated, comfortably furnished and retaining their character. Each of them has either a shower or bath en-suite, remote control colour television and a hospitality tray for your comfort.
There are four double rooms, one of which has an additional single bed and thus can be used as a twin or family room. We have two 'Z' beds too if younger children are sharing with adults. A charge of £15
per extra person is added for more than two people in the room. Under threes are free.
We have a baby monitor for parent's use when they are in the pub and their children are upstairs.

From Monday to Thursday single occupancy is charged at £65.00 per night
