Description

Relax in the River Garden on the banks of the River Wylye at the Swan Inn, an old coaching inn built over 150 years ago, 10 minutes drive from Salisbury cathedral city.

The old beams of the Game Bar, our traditional village public bar, haven’t changed much but the stables are now the function rooms and our restaurant has been somewhat ‘updated’ since those days.
We offer ensuite facilities in all our accommodation.

Outside we have the beer garden and adjacent to the car park and to the front of the Swan Inn is the River Garden on the banks of the beautiful River Wylye, where you can relax at our picnic tables and even fish. This is our own section of the river and it’s free for residents to fish.

Nearby is the medieval city of Salisbury, a busy working cathedral city with a twice-weekly market, a monthly Farmers Market and an occasional French market. There is much to see and do. The ‘Jewel in the Crown’ is of course Salisbury Cathedral with its soaring spire, the highest in England, and is one of the most beautiful and spectacular cathedrals in the country.

Just outside the city is the original settlement of Old Sarum, overlooking one of oldest active airfields in England and further afield but still within easy reach is the World Heritage site of the famous Stonehenge.
