Description

Set midway between Stonehenge and Salisbury in the beautiful village of Great Wishford in an ideal area for cyclinig and walking this B&B accommodation offers traditional English Bed and Breakfast.

This character 17th century house is in the centre of the village which was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086.

The house is light and airy with a pleasing blend of traditional antique styles. The accommodation comprises three ensuite rooms, a double, a twin and a family room (one double and one single).

There is a choice of two excellent inns, both serving tasty home cooked meals and only a five minute stroll away.

Miles of footpaths and bridleways surround the village. Just out of the centre of the village is one of Wiltshire’s famous crystal clear chalk-streams the River Wylye, well-known in angling circles for the quality of its fly-fishing. In the opposite direction is Grovely Wood, owned by the Earl of Pembroke, but accessible to the public for walking and cycling.

Within easy reach are many Wiltshire attractions including Longleat House and Safari Park, Stourhead Gardens, Wilton House, the World Heritage sites of Avebury and Stonehenge Stone Circles and of course the medieval city of Salisbury with its spectacular cathedral and spire. Stonehenge and Salisbury are less than 10 minutes drive away.
