Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, between the villages of Tisbury and Hindon, some 15 miles west of Salisbury and 17 miles from Stonehenge, this historic eighteenth century Inn offers a warm welcome with rustic charm and open fireplaces.

The Beckford Arms is a freehold Country pub, restaurant and inn, offering a wide range of wine, spirits and beers, including those from local breweries. We offer an exceptional dining experience with our à la carte menu using locally-sourced produce. Please note, food is now served on Sunday evening.

Our guest rooms, decorated in traditional style with modern accents, provide an ideal base for fishing and shooting weekend breaks, or for exploring the local area and the major tourist attractions across Wiltshire, Dorset and Avon, including Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Wilton House, Stourhead Gardens, Longleat and the city of Bath.

Wireless internet access is available throughout the building and a private bar − including pool table, flat screen tv and an open log fireplace− can be hired for private functions.

The Bar
As a freehold Inn, we are able to offer a wide range of quality beers, wines and spirits.
Local breweries such as Keystone, Hidden and Hopback sit alongside national favourites such as Timothy Taylor Landlord and Fuller’s London Pride.
Our wine list offers a wide range of new world and old world wines by the glass and by the bottle. Carefully selected, they provide the ideal accompaniment to our food or can be enjoyed on their own

The Restaurant
Our talented head chef produces outstanding dishes. Whether ordering from our core menu of hearty, traditional dishes or from our à la carte specials board, you can be sure of lovingly prepared delicious meals at sensible prices

Guest Rooms
We have eight delightful rooms available for guests including twin and single rooms. Our rooms have en suite facilities and are furnished in a traditional English country style with modern accents.
The peace and quiet of Fonthill Gifford allows a relaxing stay broken only by the local church bells on Sunday morning.
