All the walks within the city itself are level and easy with lots to see and do. Guided walks are organised regularly around the medieval city and you must not miss a visit to the stunning Salisbury Cathedral with its spectacular spire. Salisbury has an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants many of them historic whose origins date back to medieval times. Road Directions From Salisbury Take A345 off ring road north of Salisbury. At the second turning there are traffic lights, turn left. Follow signs to Stratford sub Castle, approximately one mile. Detached house situated behind long thatched cob wall. Public Transport From Salisbury rail station - 1.5 miles - taxi is advisable. From Station turn left under railway bridge, take 3rd exit at roundabout. At next roundabout turn left, follow signs A345, then take 2nd turning left signed Stratford-Sub-Castle. After one mile detached house on left. |
