Description

We at Avon Springs Fishing Lakes offer you a choice of both river and pond fishing at our well stocked fishery alongside the beautiful and famous River Avon.

Set beside the picturesque River Avon we have lakes of three and five acres. Both have an abundance of insect life with excellent sedge, olive and may fly hatches. Both are chalk stream fed, gin clear and stocked daily with brown and rainbow trout from 2lb to doubles. The three acre pond is for the really expert fisherman with dry fly and nymph floating line only.

Our unique fishery also offers a choice of river fishing with just under one mile of the Upper Chalk Stream Avon stocked with Brown Trout only, the majority of which are the original Avon Brown and a good head of Grayling up to 2lb available in the season.

The lakes and river can be exclusively booked for club and corporate functions. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, bar and refreshments can be provided. Weather permitting this is usually served either on the elevated veranda overlooking the lakes or in the Clubhouse. For more information on prices, menus and availability please contact us.

Directions:
From the A303 (the main trunk route from London to the West Country), just north of Amesbury take the Marlborough A345 and head north. Approximately 1 mile (1-2km) from this roundabout you will meet a smaller roundabout with the Stonehenge Inn on it. Take the last turn off to the right leaving the Stonehenge Inn on your left until you reach Rangers Garage, again on your left. Turn left at the garage and proceed through Durrington village. Take the third turning on your right into Recreation Road and continue to the end of this road to the fishery entrance.
