On business or holiday, visiting friends or family, The Bell offers luxury accommodaion in a relaxing rural retreat. You can be sure of exceptional service without fuss or compromise from our highly trained staff.

Newly refurbished and remodelled the Bell at Ramsbury offers Modern British fine-dining at the restaurant lead by our Head Chef Duncan Jones, nine luxury en-suite double bedrooms and public house bar.

The Bell is within ten minutes of Marlborough and Hungerford, just over the Berkshire border both offering unique shopping experiences. Also within easy reach is the Kennet and Avon Canal, Savernake Forest and Avebury World Heritage site. Within half an hour you can also be in the Cotswolds.

Each room has its own distinct character and are named after different game birds or fish with affordable luxury at its best. The spacious bedrooms are furnished in soothing tones with plush cushions and soft linens. Extra pampering touches include Hypnos mattresses, robes and slippers for use during your stay, together with heated floors and toiletries by the White Company in beautiful en suite facilities.

The sophisticated but informal Modern British restaurant serves the best of British seasonal cuisine using much of the produce grown in our own kitchen garden, organic where possible. Duncan Jones, former headchef at Marco Pierre White’s flagship pub The Yew Tree Inn follows our belief in using only the highest quality traceable ingredients, often grown locally. Children are most welcome and half portions are available.

The Bar
Everyone is made to feel welcome. The spacious bar retains its Country Inn feel and makes an ideal setting to relax and unwind. Taste our Ramsbury ales from our local brewer made using some of the purest water in southern England using the highest quality locally grown barley. There is also a fine selection of wines and spirits. The bar menu offers Mediterranean style nibbles and delicious food such as The Bells fish and triple cooked ships or the ‘daily pie’.

Ramblers are welcome and we have a ‘mud room’ and welly washer.
