The lakes are fed by the river (Hampshire) Avon which rises in the Vale of Pewsey.The fishery was re-opened May 2007 following extensive de-silting, filtering and re-stocking of our two lakes. We can now offer customers an even better trout fishing experience in top water quality. Small lake - 1.5 acres containing Brown Trout. Large lake - 4.5 acres containing Rainbow Trout. Fish sizes vary from 3lb up to big double. Caravan parking and meal facilities are available at the nearby Woodbridge Inn Sorry, no dogs. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by adults. DIRECTIONS From the M4 At junction 15 take the A346 to Marlborough. Then the A345 north of the town to Pewsey. Stay on the A345 and about 3miles southwest of Pewsey on the Upavon road you pass the fishery on the right hand side. It is just before the roundabout and the Woodbridge Inn. From the A303, the main London to Exeter route Take the northbound A345 at the large Countess roundabout near Amesbury. Continue driving north through the Avon valley and a couple of miles north of Upavon village you will see the Woodbridge Inn on the next roundabout. Just beyond the Woodbridge Inn on the road to Pewsey is the fishery entrance. |
