Little Thatch, a typical Wiltshire thatched cottage, is surrounded by a prize-winning garden which looks over peaceful fields in the village of Rushall at the heart of Salisbury Plain.

Owner Lizzie Newton applies a combination of care and flair to Little Thatch, her charming cottage and its garden, where she looks forward to welcoming guests.

Little Thatch is a non-smoking house.

There are 2 twin bedded rooms, one with an ensuite shower room and the other with a shared bathroom.

Breakfast is the only meal served but you can walk across the fields to 'The Ship Inn' in Upavon. There are many delightful pubs within easy reach serving evening meals.

In the evening guests are welcome to join Lizzie in her comfortable sitting room or relax in the beautiful garden that has won several prizes.

Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and a T.V. There is enough parking in the drive for 3 cars.


Little Thatch is open mid-January to mid-December. Little Thatch is the ideal place to relax with the countryside right on your doorstep.

Just up the road is the village of Pewsey and only 20 minutes away are the World Heritage sites of both the ancient stones of Stonehenge and Avebury. There is a local golf course at Upavon and fishing in the nearby River Avon can be arranged.

The mysterious crop circles appear in the cornfields during July and August and the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury can be easily reached. Wilton House, the Earl of Pembroke's home, is open to visitors and is close to the cathedral city.

Georgian Bath is only 40 minutes away with its lovely buildings and fascinating little alleys with small shops. Only 9 miles away is Marlborough with its historic Georgian buildings and timbered cottages.

HOW TO FIND US

Directions: - from the M4 west junction 14, take the A338 through Hungerford to Burbage. Then go to Pewsey on the B3987 then the A345 to Rushall From the M3, A303 take the A342 to Devizes after about 8 miles there is a sign to Rushall.

Pewsey railway station is only 3 miles from the property
