Description

The Bruce Arms, nicknamed the Gammon, is a traditional country pub in the Heart of Wiltshire located between the villages of Easton Royal and Milton Lilbourne on the Burbage Road near Pewsey. Cosy and friendly the pub has had only three landlords since 1919.

The Bruce Arms is one of only two CAMRA Heritage pubs in Wiltshire.

Recent improvements include the addition an external seating area, a resurfaced large car park with heated shower block and washrooms serving the campsite.

( Walk or cycle into the glorious Pewsey Vale and see its famous White Horses and access along the canal towpath the Crofton Beam Engines and Wilton Windmill.

Everyone is welcome, dogs too!

Great local Ales mostly from Wiltshire based breweries such as Wadworth, which include Stonehenge, Ramsbury, Shed, Braydon to name a few

Pewsey Train Station is just 2.5 miles from the pub.

The Games Room offers Darts, Pool, Table Tennis, Skittles and even Short Mat Bowls plus of course the space for whatever you want to do - have a ceilidh, jam yourselves or bring a band or disco.

CAMPSITE
The Bruce Arms also has a large campsite at the rear, open 365 days a year!
There are five electric hookups and room for many vans and tents.

All this is set in stunning rural Wiltshire.

The site can accommodate anything from a single person tent right up to the largest American RV and, regardless of size or duration of stay, all are equally welcome (including dogs)

The field is level and well drained. Some hardstandings are available

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Walking, cycling, flyfishing (two lakes and small river 5 miles), clay pigeon shooting (7 miles away at Shooting Club Upavon) , Kennet &Avon; Canal 1 mile north with windmill and Crofton Beam Engines on its banks. Stonehenge, Avebury, Silbury, West Kennet Barrow, the Ridgeway and many other historical monuments of Interest are all within easy reach. Bath, the market towns of Salisbury & Marlborough, Wilton House & Gardens, Old Sarum fortification and earthworks are only 45 mins away. A visit to the New Forest National Park or the South Coast is well worth a day out.
