DescriptionThis newly converted luxury self catering cottage offers holiday accommodation for up to six. On a working family farm at the heart of Wiltshire the cottage is only one mile from both The Savernake Forest and the Kennet & Avon Canal.
A great feature is that the accommodation is at one level which makes it the ideal farmstay for the whole family.
Other attractions include the Wilton Windmill, the Crofton beam engine at the canal pumping station (the oldest working steam engine in the world) and the World Heritage Site of Avebury Stone Circle, arguably more impressive than that of Stonehenge. Ten minutes drive in one direction will take you to the ancient town of Marlborough and in the other Hungerford.
The accommodation comprises three comfortable twin and double en suite rooms (all with TV/DVDs), a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with oak floor, open beams and flat screen TV, DVD and Wifi.
Only a short drive from the farm are the National Trust properties of Lacock and the beautiful Stourhead House and Gardens. Longleat Safari Park and Bowood are both within easy reach with plenty to interest all ages as is the cathedral city of Salisbury with its spectacular spire.
The railway station of Bedwyn and Pewsey (London 1h 15mins) are a short drive – we can usually collect from stations.
Only 15 minutes from M4 and A303 and 30 minutes from Swindon, Newbury and Salisbury.
