Extensively renovated the Horseshoe Inn provides a very welcoming atmosphere.The thatched inn is situated in over one acre of grounds renowned for their breathtaking views the inn offers a delightful setting for both guests and customers. The Horseshoe Inn is a free house and keeps a range of real ales including Speckled Hen and the ever popular Bass. Restaurant facilities, superb gardens and patio all add to a deservedly popular country inn. PUB AND RESTAURANT Within the pub itself there is the family room, the games room with pool table, and the restaurant which seats 32 diners. Bar Food is also available from our extensive menus, all skillfully prepared by Dan Baker - voted Wiltshires No.1 chef. The Bar Snacks Menu and Specials Board provide an extensive selection of worldwide cuisine for those wishing to try something that little bit different , plus delicious tender steaks. All our meat and steaks are purchased from the local butcher. The elegant Dining Room provides a more formal choice with its imaginative à la carte menu and extensive wine list. Whichever menu you choose, all dishes are home-cooked with the freshest of ingredients bought, wherever possible from local suppliers. Our restaurant is available for parties and private functions. Meals are available everyday including bar snacks, business lunch, birthday parties, a la carte dining or just a relaxing night out, we can provide it all. ROOMS We have three comfortable letting rooms. 2009 rates: Twin Room from £50 With two single beds. Family Room from £50 With one double bed and one single bed. Another single bed and a cot can also be provided in this room if required. Special menus are available for functions. Single Room from £40 Weekly rates by Arrangement. Our prices are per room per night and include full English breakfast. There are many places of interest both in around the ancient borough of Marlborough which is close by with excellent walking and cycling throughout the area. The historic Royal Savernake forest is open to the public to explore as are the White Horses carved into the Wiltshire Downs and the giant stone circles of Avebury, which predate Stonehenge, arguably much more interesting and accessible.
