We mainly grow wheat and barley but also have a livery yard for horses and their owners to enjoy. This facility is also available for our guests. Manor Farm has joined the countryside stewardship scheme which keeps a balance between agriculture and convservation. The farmhouse has offered traditional B&B for 20 years and dates from the 17th century, but during the last 300 years each generation has made its mark with additions and alterations. We have continued this tradition, and trust you will enjoy the brand new bathroom facilities we have recently added. The building is Grade II listed which means it is "of significant historical importance to the nation." The farmhouse displays two very different building styles - 17th century with its timber framing, low ceilings and cosy rooms, and 18th / 19th century with much larger rooms, high ceilings and big windows. The two styles sit comfortably together, and we are fortunate in being able to offer several very different types of room to our B&B guests. Breakfast is taken in the 17th century family dining room and we delight in preparing a sumptuous farmhouse AGA-cooked breakfast as well as offering fresh fruit, home baked organic bread and a selection of cereals. We are happy to cook alternatives such as scrambled eggs, bacon butties, mushrooms on toast, cheese or beans on toast etc - just tell us what you would prefer. As well as traditional farmhouse cooking, we also offer sumptuous breakfasts for guests who prefer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other special diets. You are welcome to collect and choose your eggs for breakfast from our own free range hens, as long as they are in lay! Please visit our website for pricing details and information on our aerial adventures which take place from our own private airstrip on the farm. |
