Well appointed and sleeping up to six it is close to the popular Kennet & Avon Canal in the heart of Wiltshire.Kestrel cottage makes the perfect base not only for walking and cycling but for exploring the many popular attractions in the heart of Wiltshire. Very close to the cottage is the Crofton Pumping Station and a little further is the Wilton Windmill both of which are open to the public but it is essential you check opening times as they do vary throughout the year. The Savernake forest is close by and the medieval town of Marlborough about 15 minutes drive. The World Heritage sites of Avebury Stone Circle and Silbury are within easy reach and there are excellent road and rail links from the Great Bedwyn village railway station to London and Southwest England, and the main A4 is only ten minutes drive from the cottage with the M4 a little further north. Kestrel Cottage The accommodation comprises: A large comfortable lounge with three piece suite, bed settee, coffee table, sideboard, occasional tables, two bookcases with plenty of books to read and games for the children, TV, video, stereo with CD, radio and a gas coal effect fire to keep you cosy. The kitchen / dining room is fully fitted and equipped for six people. It has a built-in oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher as well as microwave oven, toaster, kettle and radio. Matching pine table, chairs and sideboard. There will be tea, coffee, sugar and milk waiting for you, also bread from the local baker on request Shower Room with power shower, wash basin, shaver point and toilet. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms and a bathroom: Bedroom 1 Comfortable double bed with pocket sprung mattress, dressing table with stool, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom 2: Two single beds, bedside cabinets, dressing table with stool, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There are a fold up bed, travel cot and high chair available.
