Keen equestrian or fun-loving teenager, family or group of friends, Barbury is here to entertain you from Friday July 4 to Sunday July 6. Walk around the event course and you’ll discover a host of other attractions to watch and take part in.
Away from the arena, attractions include Bunjee Jumping, Mini quad bikes and a Climbing Wall. There will also be Face Painting and a Bouncy Castle as well as a Shopping Village with 60+ stalls offering a huge range of quality products, from saddlery to high fashion. If you’re hungry or thirsty, there’s a wide variety of food and drink outlets for you to choose from, all in an informal and relaxed setting.
This year the 2008 Barbury event is bigger and better than ever. You will be able to see Team GB's horses and riders in action as well as other top riders before they go for gold in Hong Kong. It’s going to be a tough competition and there’s no better place to see the action than at Barbury.
Set in a natural amphitheatre formed by the beautiful Marlborough Downs, Barbury offers probably the best views of a cross-country circuit - anywhere. The course has been designed by Mark Philips to test the skills and courage of the world’s finest horses and riders. Barbury’s cross country course travels over rolling downland with much of it utilising old turf gallops. The well drained chalkland promises good going and retains plenty of spring and turf cover even in a dry summer.
