Not only do they make every effort to source food products locally but seek out their real ales only from specialist, independent breweries in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. There is a wealth of such local breweries dedicated to keeping alive the best traditions in English, hand crafted beer production which together with high cellar standards ensures their real ales reach customers in prime condition The comprehensive Wine List has been compiled to offer quality, variety and value and is supplied using local wine merchants Emphasis is on home cooking using, wherever possible, the freshest and most local produce available. Produce provenance is increasingly important to discerning diners and Arthur and Janette try wherever practicable to offer local produce without the usual more expensive price tags. Terms such as ‘organic’, ‘free range’, ‘homemade’ and ‘local’ appear where appropriate on Rose and Crown menus. Evening and Lunch Menus are available Tuesdays through Sundays and Monday Bank Holidays. The Evening Menu consists of a starter section, a classic pub dish section and an A la Carte section. The lunch menu is essentially the same but also offers a selection of home baked, wholemeal rolls with a variety of fillings.
