Description

Whether you are looking for a snack, a full three-course meal or a drink do come and visit us at the Bridge Inn. We are a food-led pub at the southern end of West Lavington on the Salisbury to Devizes road and offer both A la Carte and traditional dishes with a bit of French flair and flavour from Cryille Portier who leads the cooking.

The owners Cyrille and Paula Portier, who have run the Bridge Inn since February 2004, have created a warm, inviting and friendly atmosphere with real log fires in winter and the use of the garden in summer, perhaps to enjoy a game of Boule.

Whatever the weather you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Food
We aim to change the a la carte menu regulary, using local produce where possible and using items in season and make the majority of all our desserts on site, using Organic Cream, Milk, Flour and Biscuits.

The A la Carte menu is available both at Lunch and Dinner.

Alongside the A la Carte menu, we offer a Specials Board and regular dishes on this include Salmon, Haddock & Dill Fishcakes; Haddock in our own Organic Beer Batter & Pomme Frites; Wiltshire Ham, Free Range Organic Eggs & Pomme Frites.

Baguettes & Ploughman's
At Lunchtime our very popular Baguettes are on offer - our so called 'Light Lunch'!

Priced from £5.25, the fillings include Wiltshire Ham, Lettuce & Tomato; Warm Striploin of Beef with Horseradish; Prawn or Tuna in Tartare Mayonnaise; Warm Smoked Bacon, Mushroom & Cheddar.

All Baguettes are served with a Salad & Pomme Frite garnish.

Sunday Lunch
Each Sunday we offer a Traditional Sunday Roast,
though with our own little French twist!

We offer two roast dishes, plus a Chicken dish, Fish and also a Vegetarian option. All these main courses are £8.75 per head.

Smaller sized main courses are available at £5.50.

Starters and Desserts are available and individually priced.

Beers and Ales
The Bridge always offers at least two Real Ales.
Some of these include Abby Ales Bellringer; GreeneKing IPA; Morlands Old Speckled Hen; Ringwood Best Bitter; Butcombe Gold; Brakespear Bitter; Sharps Doombar; Wychwood Hobgoblin.

We try to offer a weaker ale as well as a stronger.
On draught, we have Guiness, Blackthorn Cider, Fosters and Stella.

Bottled in the fridge, we have Magners and Westons Organic Cider.

Wines
Our aim is to change the wine list with the seasons. During the summer we have a few lighter reds on the list and some summery rose, and in the winter months the reds get heavier.

We don't have a house wine as such - but offer 11 wines by the glass - 3 white, 5 red and 3 rose wines. These are available in either a medium (175ml) or large (250ml) size at a starting price of £3.25.

We also offer a further 3 whites and 4 reds by the bottle giving a list of 18 wines - something to suit most palates.

In addition, we have a sparkling wine, and three choices of Champagne, one a rose - ideal for that special occasion.
