DescriptionHere you will find Vintage steam and diesel-hauled trains and DMU's restored and run on a railway built by volunteers.
The Swindon & Cricklade Railway is based on the site of Blunsdon Station between Swindon and Cirencester and the line uses part of the trackbed of the former Midland & South Western Junction Railway.
Visitors can enjoy all the facilities they expect from a Heritage Railway centre. Shortly there will be a museum opening at Blunsdon.
The station is opening on Saturdays between Easter and the end of September (excluding Saturdays included in the Special Events programme) and a diesel service will operate between 11am and 4pm. On Sundays not covered by the Special Events programme a train service is available between 11am and 4pm for those wishing to ride on the Railway and visit the Hayes Knoll locomotive shed.
Please visit our website for the Special Event Programme and prices.
