Bed and breakfast near Longleat is available both in the villages surrounding the estate and in and around Warminster, the nearest town.



Longleat is arguably one of the if not the most well known and popular attractions in England. The stately Home is regarded as one of the best examples of high Elizabethan architecture in Britain and one of the most beautiful stately homes open to the public. Set in 900 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland with a further 8000 acres of woodlands, lakes and farmland offering a wonderland of attractions to suit all ages.



Longleat Safari Park, the first of its kind anywhere in the world, was established in 1966. ‘Progressive and revolutionary’ was the only way to describe turning accepted practice at the time on its head by allowing the animals to roam free and confining the visitors to their cars. Today the collection comprises over 500 animals.



For bed and breakfast you have a range of choice nearby from hotels to smaller B&Bs.; The Bath Arms is within walking distance of the House and has been an inn since 1736. It is a friendly hotel welcoming all comers with restaurant and bar. A B&B; that is only ten minutes drive from Longleat is the 18th Century Cedar Hotel, a 3-star independently owned hotel who pride themselves on high standards.



Also within a few minutes, 2 miles (6km) drive is Sturford Mead Farm offering both B&B; and also large and comfortable holiday accommodation at The Coach House.



Based on a working farm Mill Farm B&B; at Horningsham offers a family room and two twins. The farm is only one mile from Longleat House and Safari Park. Mill Farm also offers self-catering accommodation, particularly suitable for disabled visitors which overlooks Mill Pond.



Within 15 minutes drive Irene and John Snook offer you a warm, friendly welcome to their comfortable cottage, Cornerways Cottage B&B; which is set just off the main A303 trunkroute from London to the West Country. Two ensuite double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed and one twin room with private bathroom, separate shower and bidet are available at this charming cottage.

Also only 15 minutes drive is the cosy and welcoming Eastbrook Cottage B&B; which is also handy for Bradford on Avon.



Further afield but still within easy reach of Longleat is Stowford Manor Farm which offers B&B;, river swimming, a small informal campsite and delicious cream teas. Ideal for families.



Stowford Manor Farm is a family run working farm which includes traditional Jersey cows who naturally supply their traditional Jersey cream for the delicious cream teas.
