Bradford on Avon is a small attractive riverside Wiltshire town with its centre focussed on the ancient bridge. The town holds a weekly market and possesses a friendly local feel. Besides being near the Spa city of Bath Bradford on Avon is steeped in history. For more than six centuries it was a centre of cloth weaving. Many of the buildings on the steep hillside down to the river were formerly spinners and weavers cottages with what used to be woollen mills lining the river bank.
