Catkin Lodge, a bed and breakfast on the north side of the centre also offers a small self-catering flatlet with twin bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom which makes it an ideal base for a couple to explore the area



Shrewton village is west of the monument and is only 5 minutes drive away.. Close to the village is Maddington House is a four star B&B; owned by Dick and Joan Robathan which also offers a well furnished and quality holiday cottage.



On the edge of Shrewton is Drovers’ Barn. This holiday cottage looks out onto an idyllic 2 acre garden by the River Till, shared only by the owners, and makes the perfect hideaway. Yet it is only a few minutes drive from the main A303 London – Exeter route.



But don't forget the Glampers Foxpods at Stonehenge Campsite, five miles from the Stones. The Foxpods provides accommodation for two adults and possibly 2 small children in an informal setting with friendly and helpful staff.
