Moving to Salisbury City Centre, very close to the Railway station is the Shah Jahan Indian Restaurant. Taking its name from the man who had the Taj Mahal built in loving memory of his wife, the Shah Jahan Indian restaurant, in Salisbury, boasts a good long-standing reputation with locals and visitors alike. Established 16 years ago this small restaurant is known for its consistently good food. It is open seven days a week including bank holidays 12 noon - 2.30pm and 6pm - midnight. The Shah Jahan prides itself on suiting all palates and newcomers to the Indian menu and will be helpfully guided by Mr Ali and his team, to the more delicate dishes. Likewise those regulars who know what they like can have a large choice of 'chef specials'. Interestingly, as new dishes are created they tend to become the best sellers, so this menu is one that is constantly evolving. All diners can discuss their tastes and have 'special orders' made up by head chef Abdul Salik to create the right dish for your palate. Special choices are available for vegetarians and there are a few English dishes available kept on at the managers' discretion for the occasional children's choice.
