The hotel has had recent extensive alterations and refurbishment and is set in a half acre walled garden complete with a Victorian ornamental fountain.
Amongst its many claims to fame the Beatles stayed in room 20 while they were filming ‘HELP’ on Salisbury plain. The 17 ensuite bedrooms are individually decorated and have their own style and character.
The hotel’s original charm and character have been retained and the hotels public rooms are reminiscent of a bygone era. The tastefully decorated hotel bar has double opening doors to a most impressive drawing room with full length south facing windows looking out on the beautiful gardens. Both the bar and the drawing room benefit from open log fires, which burn throughout the winter months. The hotel boasts 2 restaurants and only fresh local ingredients are used to produce excellent meals either in the bar or the restaurants. Our bar offers a range of real ales, with new guest ale each week, as well as a comprehensive wine list.
Relax in any one of our 16 individually decorated and furnished bedrooms. Room 10 with its King sized 4 poster bed and bubble bath, has beautiful views across our Victorian walled garden. All rooms have colour television, telephone with dial up facility to the internet, and beverage making facilities. Hairdryers and irons are available on request.
