Fairlawn House is a grade II listed fine Georgian townhouse, conveniently situated in the small historical market town of Amesbury just off the A303. We are only about 40 miles from the lovely Roman city of Bath and about 60 miles from the outskirts of London, making Amesbury an ideal stopover for those travelling to the West Country, Devon and Cornwall. The house still retains many of the original features including a wonderful curved staircase and a rare internal wind vane. There is a lovely lounge and bar area, providing a beautiful and comfortable place for guests to relax and browse through the library of guidebooks and local tourist information. All bedrooms are en-suite and have complimentary tea and coffee trays, colour TV, hairdryer and are comfortably furnished. The owners take care to provide a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel. There is a unique feature dining room situated in the former wine cellar area, where the owners supply a healthy continental style breakfast, and for the more traditional, a freshly prepared home-cooked English or Vegetarian breakfast cooked to your specific tastes. Our breakfasts are prepared using as much local produce as possible. Tuesday through to Saturday evenings, the dining room transforms to become “Cellar’s” Restaurant offering a delicious 2 or 3 course Table d’Hote menu for residents as well as the general public.
